Redemption Church exists to glorify God by cultivating disciples through magnifying the wonders of the Gospel so every soul in Pearland and beyond would flourish.
Our Core Convictions
The 6Cs: How Redemption Cultivates Disciples
We desire to cultivate disciples through experiencing and extending the restoring and revealing power of the gospel.
To this end we put forward the following hopes born out of the gospel of Jesus:
Jesus has restored us through his care, his cleansing sacrifice, and his reconciling work.
Jesus has revealed to us the goodness, beauty, and truth of God through his incarnation, ministry, death, resurrection, and ascension.
As people more greatly experience and these wonders of the Gospel, they will grow as disciples of Jesus.
Restore: Care, Cleanse, Connect
Care For The Broken
In the Gospel, Jesus is restoring broken humanity and creation back to wholeness and health.
Jesus came to cure the world of its brokenness, whether it be emotional, physical, spiritual, psychological, systemic, natural, relational.
He does this in various means to and through the church: Gospel Proclamation. Gospel presence. Relationship with him in devotional life and spiritual disciplines. Relationships with others in open and vulnerable community. Missional Engagement. Prayer. Counseling. Recovery. Social Justice. Mercy Ministry. Orphan Care. Widow/Widower Care.

Cleansing For The Stained
Jesus is restoring sinful humanity back to into the holiness and image of God.
Sin is ravaging the church in so many ways that we cannot see. Anger, shame, selfishness, jealousy, bitterness, insecurities, addictions and a myriad of other ways we disobey the Father. But there is good news for us:
Jesus frees us from the penalty of Sin (past)
Jesus is freeing us from the power of Sin (present)
Jesus will free us from the presence of Sin (future)

Connection For The Lonely
Jesus is connecting the lonely back into communion with God and community with one another. He has torn the veil of the temple and now dwells in and with his people. He connects us to the Father, adopting us through the propitiation of Jesus. He Connects us to one another as fellow heirs in the Kingdom of Heaven. The church is a family. God is our Father. So many of us our lonely, discouraged in our connection with God, and feeling disconnected from his people. But the wonder of the gospel is that Jesus connects those who were isolated and alone.

Reveal: Celebrate, Create, Communicate
Celebrating What Is Good
Celebration is a posture of the heart toward the world - a posture that looks for where God is with delight, and notices where he is not with mourning. We celebrate because we serve a joyful God who delights in us because of the person and work of Jesus. We celebrate because we’re adopted by the Father, indwelt by the Spirit, redeemed by the Son. And in the everyday stuff of life, we can rejoice and celebrate these ordinary windows into the heart of heaven.

Creating What Is Beautiful
God expects us not merely to admire and celebrate his beauty, but to cultivate it. We are invited into the creative act of God as sub-creators, we create with the things that he has created. We work with dirt and words and metal and wood and chemistry and children and fabrics and paper. We work with computer code and cameras and calculators and crucibles. We are invited to labor, to work, to spend ourselves to leave behind something beautiful.

Communicating What Is True
Jesus is the Word of God in the flesh. John Frame writes that “It is best to see Christ not as a ‘form’ of revelation superior to other forms, but as the speaker of God’s personal words.” Jesus is the revelation and the revealer. He is the way, the TRUTH and the life. He is our only access to final, authoritative truth, because he is God made visible for us to see and comprehend.
Therefore, since we have been saved by Jesus, the Word made flesh, we are a people who spread this Word, we are people who listen to all of what he has said, and who share it with the world. The Missionary church of Jesus has been sent to make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey all that Christ has commanded.
